Oh i tried to past actual div tag but it got filtered out

when i see it in firebug when page is loaded it is like

div class="image" style="background: transparent url(assets/images/pic0.jpg) repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; z-index: 0;" id="cotNwsImg0"

When the image scrolls after every 8 seconds (driven by javascript - there are total five images that scroll) it appears as below.

div class="image" style="background: transparent url(assets/images/pic0.jpg) repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; z-index: 0; position: relative; left: -960px; top: 0px;" id="cotNwsImg0"

@Kandra: Thank you for your kind remarks! The theme for this site was one I created specifically for myself, and as such isn't available for download or sale. That being said, I don't have any problem whatsoever if you emulate it. If you have a desire to become a good designer, the best way to get there is to emulate things you like. That builds your skills until you can start from scratch and create whatever you see in your head.

For the background I pulled elements from a <a href="http://www.vecteezy.com/vf/648-Free-t-shirt-design" rel="nofollow">free design I found on Vecteezy</a>, layered them beneath a simple red rectangle, and then put a black column on the right side of that. The rest is details. :-) Do yourself a favor and pickup a copy of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/CSS-Mastery-Advanced-Standards-Solutions/dp/1590596145/" rel="nofollow">CSS Mastery</a>. By far, that is the best book I've ever come across when it comes to really learning how CSS works.

@balu: Have you tried making sure that your dropdown or the drop-down’s container element has a sufficiently large *positive* z-index? Whenever I’ve built a fly-out or drop-down menu, I’ve wound up having to give those elements a positive z-index (say, 99) and the elements they appear over a low z-index (maybe around 5 or 10). This is usually enough to solve any drop-behind issues I’m having.

I have similar problem. There is a dropdown ( structure), which drops down on mouse hover over a H2 with some background image. The dropdown content goes behind image this dropdown. But, i checked css and there is no negative z-index value in there.
the problem is specially in FF 2. it works in all the rest.

any idea
